The beginning
It was after many trips to countries in Asia and Africa that La Maison Bleue was born. “The idea had been developing in my mind since a trip to a humanitarian camp in Tanzania, but when I came to Ouled Hassoune, everything seemed like a sign to finally start this association. The empty building, the children who were no longer in school due to Covid, the village, the people living in unstable circumstances but still smiling, who had real needs. It was after getting to know the children of the village and meeting a volunteer teacher that I decided to focus my life on helping these people, in particular supporting the children who are living in poverty.”
Since then, multiple volunteers and donors have joined us and helped the project grow. La Maison Bleue has already contributed to the distribution of school supplies, numerous cultural activities, educational support, the creation of a soccer team, food aid for families in poverty and much more…

Our actions vary according to the priorities of the villages and touch on basic areas such as food, education and leisure. They can take several forms: providing equipment, teaching and exchanging different skills and financial assistance.

Sara
Founder
Sara is our mastermind behind Instagram, and her imagination and creativity help keep La Maison Bleue running. Of Tunisian & Italian origin and Mom to three children, it is through the association that she wanted to promote her values of sharing, courage, love and peace.
TOURIA
Volunteer, French and Art and Design teacher
Touria comes to La Maison Bleue all the way from Switzerland with experience in decoration and art and design. In addition to managing her Riad in the Medina, Touria spends a lot of time at La Maison Bleue showing us with her maternal love.
hamza
Primary & Middle School Teacher
A second year student at the Faculty of Economics, you will always see Hamza with a big smile on his face and ready to help! Particularly involved in the development of the children of his village, Hamza helps plan and run the activities of the association.
Mouna
Co-Founder & Education Manager
Having studied in France and the US, Mouna is a chemistry teacher. Thanks to her educational experience, she oversees the planning and running of many of our workshops. Mouna has always wanted to actively participate in an association, and today her dream has come true at La Maison Bleue.
Ahmed
Sports Coach
Young & dynamic, at only 17 years of age, he captains the La Maison Bleue soccer team thanks to his hard work and perseverance He oversees the sports training, and arranges matches for everyone to get involved in. Ahmed's dream is to one day become a professional soccer coach.
Khaled
The super hero
Khaled is the number one fan of La Maison Bleue. He supports us by cooking and helping with repairs, and he makes the BEST pizza in town! In short, we couldn't survive without Khaled's support in the association.
